About Us

The Flourishing Hub, launched in March 2025, is an initiative of  IIT Bombay, in collaboration with IITB Alumni. This hub is dedicated to fostering psychological strength, mental resilience, and personal growth among students, equipping them with the skills to navigate academic and personal challenges with confidence.

At the heart of the Flourishing Hub is a commitment to empowering students to thrive, not just survive, in their academic and professional journeys. This is achieved through workshops and interactive sessions that integrate insights from positive psychology, behavioral sciences, and life skills to build a well-rounded and future-ready mindset. 

Core Offerings

Courses

The Wellness Course, part of the NOCS01 and NOCS02 curriculum for first-year undergraduates, includes eight workshops on self-awareness, stress management, healthy routines, digital balance, and relationships. It fosters emotional wellness, inner strength, and confidence to handle academic and personal challenges.

The Mentorship Training Course equips peer mentors with skills in empathy, active listening, and psychological first aid to create safe, supportive spaces. The Leadership Development Course builds clarity, emotional intelligence, and accountability, preparing students to lead with competence and compassion.

At IIT Bombay, we believe success goes beyond academics—it’s about living a balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling life. The Flourishing Hub was created to support students in their journey of growth and wellbeing, offering a space to pause, reflect, and recharge.

Through programs like Wellness Wednesday, Flourishing Friday, Yoga sessions, and special retreats, we help students strengthen mental health, build skills, and care for physical vitality. These experiences foster clarity, resilience, and connection. Whether it’s managing stress, finding balance, setting goals, or taking time for reflection, the Flourishing Hub guides you beyond survival, toward a life where you can truly thrive.

Psychological First-Aid Workshop

The Psychological First Aid Workshop, organized by Flourishing Hub IIT Bombay, offers an introduction to essential skills for addressing emotional crises in academic life. This session is designed to empower participants with contemporary strategies for suicide prevention, practical intervention tools, and techniques to manage emotional distress. With a focus on theory-backed approaches and peer supportive practices, attendees will gain actionable insights that are directly relevant to the pressures faced in a high-achieving IIT environment. The workshop encourages open dialogue, mutual support, and sustained well-being within the campus community.
